Ron Metzker, principal of LPAS architects, started a love of architecture as a kid, checking out architectural books from the library and building small structures from scrap wood. Today, with a project-portfolio across the spectrum, Metzker says his style tilts toward modern design — which the Chronicle describes as “contemporary masterpieces” — including the SF Shipyard.
The Shipyard’s design has features sought after by today’s buyers: open floor plans where spaces can be tailored to fit individual needs, and multiple terraces including many rooftop decks offering expansive views — a premium amenity that’s rare in San Francisco.
“Home buyers are looking for space,” he says. “We’re all working from home much of the time, having space where you can get away from household noise is important.”
